No willpower whatsoever.

| | Comments ()
That's right. I have NO willpower whatsoever. I was at Wal-Mart last night looking at some things I needed and just happened to walk past the Electronics department where they have games...and saw World of Warcraft actually on the shelf.

I got it. I'm hopeless sometimes when it comes to these types of games. I had tons of fun in beta though so I don't see why I wouldn't in Retail :)
Well well well. Browing important news and caught this from AP talking about the new MSN Search. It shows what is credited as coming from Microsoft but if you look at the photo you can see that they're using the Mozilla Firefox web browser! I have to laugh at that.

Our first snow this year.

First snow, at work

Well, it appears that last night we had our first official snow fall here this year. Not much and not very impressive but it's a start. Bring it on!

Trying new things

| | Comments ()
I've decided to try something new and drastic. I'm growing a beard! I've never done anything like this and not quite sure what to expect. I'll post a picture when I feel it's "good enough". Been growing just over a week now. Heh.
It's late Sunday night and only roughly 25 hours until Half-Life 2 becomes available to play (I hope). I've had HL2 bought since the day they let you prepay on Steam and you can bet I'll be up late tomorrow night to get in some play time before I hit the sack. Looking forward to it.

These few months around Christmas are always a nightmare because so many awesome titles come out in such a short time period. EverQuest 2, World of Warcraft, Need for Speed: Underground 2, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, Halo 2, Half-Life 2, GTA: San Andreas, Metroid Prime 2, Ghost Recon 2. And that's just what I can remember off the top of my head. Unfortunatly I can't afford to purchase them all like I used to :( I'll have to delay some of them or choose between them.

OK, I'm worn out from linking all those titles. See you later.

EverQuest 2 finally here!

| | Comments ()
I finally got my hands on EverQuest 2 yesterday after work. I installed it (2 DVDs!) set up my account, patched it and was playing! An hour later the entire network (theirs) crashed and I couldn't log in for over an hour.

Finally got back in and continued to adventure with Xabten, a Ratonga Mage (Necromancer on the mind). He's pretty cool and I'm looking forward to gaining some more levels.

So far my impressions of the game are good. I have had a couple issues with people on the newbie island that have this "attitude" problem and some weren't very helpful but for the most part if you /ooc something you get answers.

I'll post some screenshots soon that I've taken or direct you to my Flickr page to view anything I've made public once I get stuff there.

Bush Wins!

John F. Kerry has conceded to George W. Bush! You can hit all the news sites for info:

Foxnews
MSNBC
CNN

I voted Bush so this is good news for me. However, I must admit that my opinion of Kerry went up when he decided not to battle this election for weeks on end.

I voted!

Yessir! I went and voted today. Proud to do so.

Election Day!

Go out and vote! It's extremely important and if you're not even registered then shame on you! You can't complain if you don't take part, you deserve whatever you get. I've voted in every election I've been able to since I turned 18 and I'm proud to be able to vote. I look at other countries that are reletively new to the voting process like Tiawan that have HUGE turnout and we just don't have that much of a turnout in the states. Fix it!
First of all, I didn't get a single trick-or-treater at my house this weekend. That's OK though since I didn't have anything to give them :)

The neighborhood I live in is pretty much dead to this holiday anymore. When I was a kid though you could easily fill a bag or two of candy here. Such is the way life is sometimes.

In other news: It's COLD today. When I went to work it was 28 outside, the coldest so far this year I think. Really I shouldn't be complaining though since we usually have snow and stuff by this time in the year. Actually, we really need a lot of snow here so what forest we have left doesn't die. Come on snow! It was just kind of a shock to go from 40s at night to 20s all of the sudden.

Also, a site I've been lurking for a long time is really neato. Check it out for all your wallpaper or art needs: DeviantART.
